Q: How far in advance do i need to book a catering event?

A: Two weeks is the absolute minimum we can generally accept (at this point), however, more notice is always better. At least one month is usually necessary for larger parties and events. On rare occasions we are able to accommodate last minute requests, especially for events such as small dinner parties or on our ‘Dinner for Two’ package.

Q: what separates the chili cabin from other catering services?

A: Our passion for creating an experience more than just a typical catered buffet lunch/dinner. Our knowledgeable spice experts will help you pair sides and sauces with your meal just like a fine wine. Whether you are capsaicin timid, and prefer flavor over fire, or a spice junkie looking for your next heat fix, we cater each person’s meal to their preferred tastes.

Q: can i hire the chili cabin to be a food vendor at my event?

A: Absolutely! If you are having an event (i.e. concert, gallery night) and are interested in hiring a vendor to sell food, we would love to partner with you! We do not currently have a fee that we charge to you since the event is paid for by each guest who purchases food. Currently we have two food vending menu options: 1) chili and cornbread, and 2) burritos with chips, Cabin Queso, guacamole and roasted green chili salsa

Q: what is next for the chili cabin?

A: We will be launching our Kickstarter campaign in the coming months, with the ultimate goal of acquiring a food truck. We want to bring this heat to these often cold Ithaca streets! Follow us on social media (links at bottom of page) to get the most up-to-date info, and for chances to win coupons for free products and discounted catering events! Also coming soon, many of our products canned and available for purchase on this site (same day local delivery will be available!!)

Q: how can I get my product featured in one of your videos?

A: We are constantly looking for new local products to try! New video content is released a couple times a month on The Chili Cabin Ithaca YouTube channel.
